Who doesn’t like subscription boxes…or wine? About two months ago I subscribed to a wine subscription box called Winc. I took a small quiz and it curated a box to fit my wine preferences, and to be honest I think they did a pretty good job picking the wine. I was able to get 4 bottles of white wine since my taste pallet is not fancy enough for church wine (barf), but you can do all 4 red, 3 red and 1 white, 2 red and 2 white, 1 red and 3 white, or all 4 white. After looking at the selections the website had chosen, it also presented me with a guide on how to use the wines; what the notes in each bottle were, what to eat with each one, etc.. That was found to be super useful. I ended up getting a discount code for subscribing, and then was able to add a reference code from the internet leaving my total at around $30. Thats about $7.50 a bottle when in reality they range from about $13 to $30…a steal.
It was also very interesting that they offered vegan wines as well as environmentally friendly wines. I never thought to consider either of those when buying bottles of alcoholic grape juice, but apparently thats a thing.
Once the wine arrives, someone over the age of 21 has to sign for the package (duh). In the box was my wine, but also a booklet or “ABC’s” of wine which was really insightful. It offered me a lot of information that, as a wine newbie, did not know.
I really was not disappointed with my box. Some wines were “wine-ier” than others, but my favorite (pictured below*) was fruity and tangy. My friend, Jordan, and I easily downed that bottle.
The others came in cool bottles, they just seemed a little more dry than I tend to prefer. Regardless, I really was not disappointed. I would recommend this for anyone interested in wine, or wanting to be interested in wine. It also has the option to skip a month if you haven’t quite gotten through all 4 of your bottles. I also think it would be a great Christmas gift to give someone, and it ships very quickly. If you are interested in subscribing, I have a REFERRAL LINK available ($20 of complimentary Winc wine), and don’t forget you get a discount just for signing up!
