HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
This year, being that Halloween is on a Tuesday, we celebrated during Halloweekend. Three different parties in one night after working a 9 hour work day. Needless to say, I slept in the next morning. My boyfriend, Jake, was dressed as Ron Weasley and I was Hermione Granger from the Harry Potter movies. This was an easier costume to throw together since Jake already had the flaming red hair. We bought the ties at a Halloween store and I crafted two wands for us out of chopsticks and Play Doh.
We started off the night with a party in Fallston, MD at the house of one of my boyfriend’s coworker’s. Thats where we ate. The lovely woman, Linda, opened her house to us and had tables upon tables of food. She and her husband were dressed as Mary Poppins and the Chimney Sweeper from the movie, and they must have completely cleared out the Halloween store in order to cover their entire house with cobweb, inside and out. Overall, it was a lovely time and I got to meet several of my boyfriend’s new coworkers.
From there we moved onto party number 2 in Canton, MD which we were invited to while we were at party number 1. This was a smaller gathering, and much more relaxed. It was just 6 or 7 people hanging out, drinking, and watching scary videos on the TV. This party was great though because we got to catch up with friends we haven’t seen in a couple months, and eat rice crispy treats one of the boys had made. Even though we didn’t plan to attend this party that night, we were really happy that it happened.
Then finally we arrived at big party number 3. This is the party I attend every year that my best friend’s, Jordan and Gabby, throw at their house. I’ve gone every year since we were little, but now its adapted to our ages a little bit. This is the party that carried on for the rest of the night. It was a lot of fun playing beer pong, taking shots of nasty blueberry vodka, and eating gluten free pretzels. There was no shortage of mess and mayhem. At the end of the night I helped Jordan do the best we could at cleaning up the sticky alcohol from the table and floor…since Gabby conveniently dismissed herself from the party early…and then said goodbyes and headed home.
For everyone going out tonight, be safe and have fun!
